Dog-gone HOT!

Temperatures are on the rise and for one Grand Rapids family the heat became life threatening to the family pets. Last month, a Pop-A-Lock technician was dispatched to unlock a car in southwest Grand Rapids. The owner had locked her keys - and worse, her two pet dogs - in the car on a hot summer day. Once she realized what had happened, she called for help.

The job was dispatched as an emergency and the Pop-A-Lock technician - Dave - arrived in under 10 minutes. The car was open in under 3 minutes. Dave saw that the dogs were in distress. He had water in his vehicle but no dog dish. So Dave did the next best thing: he emptied his toolbox and filled it with the water. The dogs - and the owner - were grateful.

Kudos for creative thinking - and compassion - to our Pop-A-Lock technician!
